Scuba Diving in St Lucia

There is so much to see and do on the beautiful Caribbean island of St Lucia. With a wealth of activities on offer on Almond Resort’s all-inclusive holidays in St Lucia, you are already spoilt for choice, but for those looking to experience even more, there are some fantastic adventurous opportunities.

St Lucia is a fantastic island for scuba diving, and there are dives to cater for all levels of experience.

The Shipwreck of the Lesleen M is one of the region’s greatest dives. The cargo vessel was deliberately sunk in the waters off the west coast of St Lucia, just to the north of the Piton mountains in the mid-1980s in order to create an artificial reef.

The pristine, clear waters afford excellent visibility and a bewildering array of colourful fish weaving in and out of the anemone and fire coral-covered wreck, creating ideal underwater photograph opportunities.

The wreck’s cargo area is also accessible to divers, who can swim along the ship’s walkways, with the chance to spot juvenile frogfish, soldier fish, snappers, angelfish and tuna.
